Delete your Crux account
You can delete your account and everything in it at any time. This page is for Crux: Climbing Log & Coach, by Benjamin Widdowson.
Takes effect at once
- Open Crux and tap the settings icon at the top right.
- Scroll to the bottom and tap Delete account.
- Confirm.
Your account and data are deleted straight away and you are signed out.
By email, within 30 days
- Email privacy@cruxlog.app from the address on your Crux account.
- Ask us to delete your account.
- We confirm by reply once it is done.
We only act on requests sent from the account's own address, so nobody else can delete your account.

- Reviews and plans written by the coach
- Goals, gyms you saved and your training plan

- Share links and the images made for them
- Your analytics profile and its events
What is kept, and for how long

Questions
Can I get my account back?
No. Deletion is permanent. You can sign up again with the same email address, but you start with an empty logbook.
Does deleting my account cancel Crux Pro?
No. Subscriptions are held by Apple or Google, not by Crux. Cancel in your App Store or Google Play subscriptions before or after you delete your account.
Can I delete some data and keep my account?
Yes. In the app you can delete any climb, workout, meal, weight entry, photo or video on its own. Swipe left on the entry, or open it and choose delete. To have something removed that you can't reach, email privacy@cruxlog.app.
What happens to things I shared with a crew?
Sessions you shared, your place on a crew board and tags with other climbers are deleted with your account. If you owned a crew, it passes to its longest-serving admin or member.
What about messages I sent to a group chat?
Anything you sent to another app, such as a message or an image in a group chat, is outside Crux and stays there.
Can I get a copy of my data first?
Yes. Email privacy@cruxlog.app from your account's address before you delete. We reply within one month.
